At Encounter Church - Kentwood, we want you to know that you matter to us and you matter to God. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you never thought about going to church until today, we believe that God is going to change your life. Our time together each week starts with worship led by our worship team and moves into a message that is easy to understand & applies to whatever you're facing right now.

What to Expect
When you come to church, expect a 65-minute experience including a time of worship and a biblical message, engaging Kids spaces, and a community of people you can get to know & grow with.
This location started at Endeavor Elementary School
Our building originally was a fitness center and had one of the biggest rock climbing walls in West Michigan in what is now the center of our Auditorium!
We moved into this building in 2013!

The worship experience is around 65 minutes and includes a time of worship with a live, in-person band followed by a message and then a little more music.

Encounter Church is a casual environment, so feel free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable.

Have kids birth–5th grade? We have a Kids! worship experience just for them where they will watch a video lesson, worship, learn Biblical teachings, and memorize scripture! Together, with a small group leader and kids their age, they learn about the Bible, how to have a relationship with God, and have fun developing friendships with each other.
