At Encounter, we believe that God blesses us not only for our own benefit, but so that we can be a blessing to others. One of our core values is to multiply—locally and globally—as we seek to see people far from God experience new life in Christ.


To live out this vision, we partner with trusted organizations and ministries that are bringing hope, meeting tangible needs, and sharing the love of Jesus in our own communities and around the world. Through these partnerships, we are able to extend the impact of our church beyond our walls and participate in the work God is doing across the globe.


A portion of every dollar given to Encounter Church goes directly toward supporting these local and global partners as we continue to make a difference together for the kingdom of God.

Local Partners

Living Stones Academy

Living Stones Academy in the Fulton Heights neighborhood, commits its mission to inspiring students (preschool - 6th grade) to advance God's Kingdom, equipping them to embrace cultural, economic, and racial diversity, and empowering them to love others and pursue Shalom. The school operates on three core pillars: Christ-Centered, Academically Supportive, and Intentionally Inclusive.

Hillcrest Community Garden

Located in the Fulton Heights Neighborhood, Hillcrest Community Garden is one of the largest community gardens in Michigan, they are centered around raising vegetables, fruits and flowers for personal use and being good stewards of our social, environmental, and financial resources.

ICCF Community Homes

ICCF Community Homes exists to create equitable opportunities through safe, affordable housing and neighborhood development across West Michigan. Since 1974, they have helped thousands of individuals and families find stability through affordable rental homes, homeownership opportunities, financial education, and housing support services.

Green Apple Pantry

The Green Apple Pantry exists to fight food insecurity by providing healthy food and essential personal care items to individuals and families throughout southeast Kent County. Since 1984, they have served their neighbors with dignity and compassion by offering nutritious food, practical resources, and opportunities that empower people toward long-term stability.

Baxter Community Center

Baxter Community Center exists to strengthen the Baxter neighborhood by responding to the needs of the community through compassionate programs, meaningful relationships, and collaborative partnerships. They provide holistic support through early childhood education, youth programs, health and dental services, food assistance, and community development.

Encounter Nepal

Encounter Nepal is a Christ-centered church community committed to bringing people far from God to new life in Jesus. Through biblical teaching, discipleship, worship, and community outreach, they are helping people grow in faith and live out the gospel in every area of life. Our partnership with Encounter Nepal supports the work of sharing the hope of Christ, developing disciples, and strengthening the local church in Nepal.

God’s Vision For Haiti

God’s Vision For Haiti exists to show the love of Christ by serving vulnerable children and communities in Haiti through spiritual, emotional, physical, and educational support. Through foster care, education and skills training, health and wellness initiatives, and spiritual formation, GVFH works to create opportunities for children and families to experience hope and transformation.

SANA Ministries

Sana Ministries exists to bring hope and transformation to communities by sharing the love of Jesus through practical service, discipleship, and community development. Through initiatives focused on education, spiritual growth, and meeting tangible needs, Sana partners with local leaders to empower individuals and families to experience lasting change. Our partnership with Sana Ministries supports the work of advancing the gospel, strengthening communities, and helping people discover their God-given purpose.
